Description

Mega Sanduches is a sandwich stall that celebrates the flavours of Quito not just through its food, but through its identity. For this project, I was in charge of building a brand that feels local, warm, and instantly relatable. Inspired by the everyday language and charm of Quiteño slang, we created a logo and tone of voice that would make any passerby smile—and hungry.

The visual identity is playful and bold, echoing the way customers might order: “Un sanduchito bien cargado porfa” or “Veci, no se olvidará la yapa.” These phrases are not just requests—they’re rituals. By incorporating this language into the brand voice, we connected the business directly to the local culture, creating a sense of familiarity and belonging. The logo design followed the same philosophy, balancing vibrant colours and casual typography to capture the spirit of a quick bite filled with flavour and affection.

More than just a food stall, Mega Sanduches became a brand with personality. From printed menus to social media captions, every element carried the same cheeky, friendly voice. We wanted customers to feel like they weren’t just buying a sandwich, but sharing a moment with their veci—the kind that ends with a smile and a full belly.

This project highlights the power of local insight in branding. By leaning into cultural references and real ways people speak, we crafted a brand that feels alive and genuine. Mega Sanduches is a perfect example of how design and strategy rooted in authenticity can create a stronger connection between a business and its audience.
